Play times & sounds

Every day is a party.

Carter and Ainsley hang out with their cousins, Allison and Noel every day during the week. On Wednesdays, they get a special treat where the rest of their cousins Timmy, Eliana and Isabella also come hang out. With so much time together, all the babies are bound to learn different traits from each other. Isabella has this special talent to sound like a beautiful singing bird when she is happy, sad, bored, excited cries, laughs, talks or breathe. Apparently, Allison has learn this from Eliana and would periodically call out.

Over the weekend, Carter started emitting what sounded like an uncute version of this call. Or shall we say it sounds more like a loooooong, squealing gawk. Sometimes an unrelenting repetitive gawk. Will and I are baffled at this and didn't want to encourage it so we'll ignore this sound if we know he is fed, burped, changed, not too hot, not too cold and generally comfortable so there is no reason for this. Over dinner, Carter and Ainsley were playing on their play gym mat when he started up again. They had just been changed, fed and burped so we decided to ignore it while trying to finish dinner. Suddenly, the gawking call sound a little muffled and we were treated to an alarming sight! Ainsley had rotated her body perpendicular to Carter and shoved one of her feet into his mouth. I guess she wasn't a fan of his new sound either.

I faceplanted right after this picture was shot.

Tummy time? Easy peazy. I watched my sister face plant.
Beautiful pictures courtesy of Stella.

Here's a ghetto picture I took but it shows what Wednesdays look like.
