Swing Time!

We have a couple of swings that we've wanted to put up somewhere for the kids. The idea was to install it indoors so they can play even in the winter but that idea had yet to come to fruition. So we attached it to the pergola and let them have a try at it. Um, first time, they hated it and Carter cried. So I tried a second time and it went better.

Action!

Will's graduated with his Master's

Will earned his Masters from Ohio State and attended commencement on May 4, 2014. It took a lot of dedication and work especially while raising the twins. It was Ohio State's second largest graduating class. I brought the babies to witness this important event. Look at all daddy's hard work for you two kiddies!

Kiddies climbing everywhere

Carter's physical therapy has helped him go up and down the stairs pretty well. However, whenever he gets to a particular corner where he needs to turn, he likes to hang on and try to step down. Oh no, baby boy, not a good idea.

Ainsley can climb the stairs too but is actually less steady than Carter. She also tends to walk to just walk down them or slide down them like a slide which terrifies me. Something else she likes to do to terrify me is climb on top of the ottomans in front of the fireplace. She used to use Carter to prop herself high enough to climb on but lately, she hasn't needed to and I'm not quite sure how she does it.

Always feeding!

More pictures of the twins eating! It's one of the few times where both are occupied and I can snap a few pictures. Most of the time, Ainsley wants me to hold her and play with her. I love doing it but it doesn't give me a free hand. Carter may want to be held sometimes too but plays more independently. Funny thing since Ainsley wants to do things herself like feeding herself. It's a complete mess but she's learning!

Here is one of the twin's favorite spots. We put Goliath in a corner against the gate and the kids love to jump and sit on him.

A recent zoo visit where sunblock was used as hair gel in addition for SPF.

Ainsley sits in the back of the double stroller because she gets way too excited and tries to jump out of it. (Or so it seems to me)

Easter Sunday

It seemed like Easter crept up on us and was here before we knew it. We took Carter and Ainsley to a Baptist church with Will's grandfather. Afterwards, his grandfather, aunt and her kids came over to play with the twins. What a beautiful day it was for outdoor Easter pictures.

And Action!

Our babies have fine tastes!

A little while back, our friends had us over for dinner and made some excellent lamb chops. After letting the babies have a taste, we were shocked to see them eating it up. Here is Carter and Ainsley eating their own lamb chops. Ouch, we better set a grocery budget aside just for the little munchkins.

Wasabi is barking to get a share. Ainsley knows how to say dog. I actually think she might even know what it means.

The twins like to play in their room before bed. Carter loves his blue security blanket now and I think this is when he first started really taking to it.

Stuck!

I got Ainsley and Carter some music toys which came in a round toy container. The twins always have creative ways to play with their toys but I'm not sure if this was what she had intended.

Singing during meal times

Here I was trying to entice Carter into eating with creative noises. Ainsley decided to join in.

First steps

Time is flying by way too quickly with my babies. I wish I could just pause it and savor every moment.

Ainsley took her first steps on January 7, 2014.

Carter took his first steps on March 10th. This is how it went.
